Early Career Researcher Award at SOAC 2023

Maggie took home the Early Career Researcher Best Presentation Award at the 2023 State of Australasian Cities Conference for her presentation proposing a methodology for the assessment and design of urban vegetated building envelope networks. Vegetated building envelopes are rarely considered in the planning of urban green infrastructure, but have demonstrated the potential to positively contribute to a number of ecosystem services, including flood mitigation and habitat connectivity, if applied at an urban scale. Developing a standard design methodology for urban green infrastructure networks that is holistic and inclusive of vegetated building envelopes would benefit both researchers and practitioners in this field.
